The reticular activating system is a powerful tool that is used by DS mainstream media outlets to grab the attention of their viewers and readers. In the case of DS left wing mainstream media, the RAS could be used in a variety of ways to promote their political agenda and engage ‘their’ audience.

One way the RAS might be used MSM is by using emotionally charged language and imagery. This could include using powerful words and phrases to describe political issues or events, as well as using images and videos that evoke strong emotional responses. By doing this, MSM can tap into the emotions of their viewers, making them more likely to engage with the content and share it with others.
